Get Involved with JCL
& Find out more about our Friends Group
Volunteering at Jarrell Community Library (JCL) is a life-enriching, and rewarding experience, because supporting Jarrell Community Library supports the community we are all a part of. JCL needs and appreciates help with all kinds of tasks. Volunteers are needed for everything from the simple and technical, to the public and behind the scenes.
It is important to know why you personally want to volunteer; know what kind of work you are looking to do; what you wish to get out of the volunteer experience; how long you wish to commit to a volunteer role, and how quickly you want to start volunteering.
The best way to get involved and be in the know about what is going on at JCL is to join the Friends. The Friends of the Jarrell Community Library is a separate organization from the Library, that supports the library through advocacy, fundraising, and assistance to keep our library going strong, as our library runs on donations alone and is not tax-funded. We want to instill an atmosphere of fellowship, team work, and community support while allowing everyone the opportunity to use their own unique skills and talents. We need people from all kinds of backgrounds, art and design, fundraising, general volunteer staff, communications and publicity, and more. There is always a way that you can help.
